Town Garage Pre-Bid Meeting
Selectboard members Lewis Sumner and Doug Grob met with Road Commissioner Brad Rafus, Philip Savoy and colleague (Savoy Engineering, Westminster, Vermont) at 3:00 p.m. at the Town Garage to inspect the building and discuss roof leaks, condensation issues, and boiler ventilation.

In Savoy’s opinion condensation is definitely a problem in the building. He spoke about the Putney fire station building which, after two roof replacements, is still struggling with a water issue caused by condensation.

Savoy mentioned several possible solutions, including a drop ceiling, ventilation above the roof, or spraying foam insulation onto the existing roof.

The meeting ended at 3:28 p.m.
