The Halifax Selectboard and School Board hosted a joint informational meeting and meet the candidates night at 7:00 p.m. February 23^rd in the Halifax School multipurpose room. Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Doug Grob, and Brad Rafus, and School Board members Homer (Chum) Sumner, and Kim Tefft were present. Patti Pusey served as moderator. Approximately forty members of the public were in attendance.

After candidates for various town offices introduced themselves and answered questions from the audience, Moderator Pusey invited questions and comments related to the articles on the 2016 Town Warning. School Board Chair Chum Sumner then spoke about recent education legislation and its effects on the school budget, and responded to several questions from the floor.

The meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m.
