REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 4, 2025
6:00 PM AT THE HALIFAX TOWN OFFICE
CALL TO ORDER
Edee Edwards called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. Other Selectboard members present in person were Karen Christofferson, Rhonda Ashcraft and Randy Pike. Secretary Assistant Emily Dow was online remotely. Mary Brewster was also present and called into the meeting late.

Other Business: Update about GMP Road Foreman’s meeting
HEARING OF VISITORS
Mary Brewster verified with the Selectboard they will be bidding on the current tax sale. Edwards explained recouping the cost of the taxes as a defensive measure is important. The tax sale is March 19th at 10am in the Town Office and the Selectboard meeting where this can be taken up is March 18th. Mary Brewster will send an email notice to the board.
SELECTBOARD ORDER
Highway Orders were reviewed and signed.
The Selectboard orders were signed and Edwards read the aggregate amount for orders on March 4, 2025 for an order total of $12,997.60.
CORRESPONDENCE
Christofferson updated about the Excavator and correspondence between Patty Dow and M&T Bank. Beauregard was notified that the Selectboard has chosen to proceed with the bank’s financing option as it pertains to the interest rate. The invoice for the Excavator has been delivered and PDow is ready to write the check for which will be seen on the Highway orders at the next Regular meeting. The Excavator is ready to be picked up. Mike Fournier and Beauregard will be arranging delivery, trade-in, logistics and swapping plans for the machines.
OTHER BUSINESS
Karen briefly updated on the GMP Road Foreman’s meeting and plans to meet in March to talk about next steps. GMP understands towns have different specifications for right-of-way work.
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Edwards made a motion to accept the meeting minutes from January 21, 2025. Randy Pike seconded the motion. Motion carries 4-0.
ADJOURNMENT
Edwards made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:48pm. Ashcraft seconded the motion. Motion carries 4-0.
