REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

June 10, 2015

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm at the town office.  Board members in attendance were Edee Edwards, Jessica Bruno, and Gretchen Becker.

Approval of Minutes

Edwards made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 13, 2015 Regular Meeting with a correction. Becker seconded the motion, which passed 3-0-0.

New Business

Broadband Providers

Becker made a chart of broadband providers to put on the town website which the group reviewed. The group discussed cell phones. Bruno noted that prepaid phones which have CDMA on the packaging have Verizon as the provider, and packages with GSM have AT&T.

Committee Members

The group discussed a potential member. Becker will contact the person and see if there is any interest.

Old Business

Cell Phone Mapping in Town

Edwards noted that Jeff Nugent from Windham Regional may be able to get us a quote for some map overlays.

Vendor Updates

VTel- equipment is physically at the site but there has been no word on when it will go live.

VTA Resiliency Grant- Edwards has been trying to contact David Malko but is having trouble getting in touch with him. We may have to call the PSB for updates.

Wi-Fi Hotspot Usage

Edwards noted that the recent electrical storms have caused to the router to go down. They may look into getting a UPS device.

Whitingham Farmers Market

The market is opening June 26.
