Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Planning Commission members Sirean LaFlamme, Bill Pusey, Turner Lewis, and Kaitlin Stone were present. Brian McNeice was absent. Others in attendance were Thomas Wagener (Surveyor), and Robbin Gabriel.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes

Sirean LaFlamme made a motion to approve the 4/12/16 meeting minutes as written. Turner Lewis seconded the motion, which passed, 4-0.

Kaitlin Stone made a motion to approve the 5/10/16 public hearing minutes as written. Turner Lewis seconded the motion, which passed, 4-0.

Bill Pusey made a motion to approve the 5/10/16 meeting minutes as written. Kaitlin Stone seconded the motion, which passed, 4-0.

New Business

Thurber Road Subdivision—Preliminary Review
Commissioners conducted a preliminary review of a subdivision request for the property at 449 Thurber Road. The parcel is owned by J.I.F. Investment Co., Inc. In 2015 the original 213-acre parcel was subdivided into two lots of approximately 120 and 93 acres. The current proposal would divide the 93-acre land-only parcel into four lots of 21, 20, 15, and 35 acres. Guilford surveyor Thomas Wagener, who prepared the proposal, responded to questions from the Commissioners reviewed frontage requirements, rights-of-way, and other details of the application.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the application on July 12, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., prior to their regular monthly meeting. The hearing will be noticed at least fifteen days in advance of that date, abutters will be notified, and particulars of the request will be available for public review in the Town Office.
