Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Planning Commission members Turner Lewis, Kaitlin Stone, Patty Dow, and Alice Aldrich were present. Bill Pusey was traveling out-of-state. John Rossetti and Robbin Gabriel were also in attendance.

Changes and Additions to Agenda

Approval of the February 14^th, 2017 meeting minutes and informal review of a subdivision request were added to the agenda.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes

Turner Lewis made a motion to approve the 2/14/17 meeting minutes as written. Patty Dow seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0-1, with Alice Aldrich abstaining.

New Business

Reorganize Board
Turner Lewis recommended Bill Pusey as Planning Commission Chair. Patty Dow nominated Turner Lewis as Chair, and Bill Pusey as Vice Chair. In discussion, Dow said that Pusey would be a good candidate for Chair, but thought he might prefer not to hold the position. She told Lewis she had confidence in his ability to head meetings. Lewis said he would be happy to serve as Vice Chair, but would like to see Pusey as Chair due to his long experience on the Board. If he (Pusey) declines, continued Lewis, I will do it. Dow then nominated Bill Pusey as Chair, and Turner Lewis as Vice Chair. Alice Aldrich seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0-1, with Lewis abstaining.

Rossetti Subdivision Request
The Commissioners examined copies of John Rossetti’s subdivision permit application and plot plan. John Rossetti responded to various questions about location, terrain, boundaries, right-of-way and driveway position. Rossetti’s application requests a subdivision of his property at 5231 Jacksonville Stage Road to create one 8.5+/- acre and one 11.3+/- acre lot. After reviewing and discussing the application documents, Board members scheduled a formal hearing on May 9^th, 2017. The hearing will be noticed at least fifteen days in advance of that date, abutters will be notified, and particulars of the request will be available for public review in the Town Office.

Review Updated Permit Forms
In February, Board members received draft copies of updated driveway, new parcel, building, conditional use, and sign permit forms for review. The Board now discussed and compiled their findings for necessary corrections and changes to the forms. Gabriel will make the indicated changes and create a final set of forms for approval.

Alice Aldrich made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Patty Dow seconded the motion, which passed, 4-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
