Chairman Turner Lewis opened public hearing to consider the William and Patricia Pusey Notice of Appeal requesting a Variance for 250 feet of road frontage on the West and East sides of the road for a piece of land they would like to subdivide at 7:00 PM.  Zoning Board of Authority members Turner Lewis, Kaitlin Stone, & Tommy Fox were present with Bill Pusey abstaining. Jason Ashcroft was not in attendance. Also attending were Tina Blais, Paul Blais, Patti Pusey,  Leigh & Lori Marchegiani.

Lewis began the meeting by explaining that we were having a hearing to discuss the appeal of the Pusey’s for the 250 feet of road frontage. He also reminded Bill Pusey that he would have to abstain as a board member. Pusey agreed.

Lewis solicited comments and questions from those present. Lori Marchegiani asked what the Pusey’s intended to do with the subdivision, and would it effect their property? Lewis answered that they wanted to subdivide a small piece of land on each side of the road for sale to their son. The request for the 250 feet of road frontage instead of the 300 feet required by the Town Zoning Laws is because on the west side of the road the 300 feet would interfere with the Pusey’s barn/barn yard.  On the East side of the road, the 250-foot request is because the 300 feet would interfere with the integrity of the Pusey’s pond and the surrounding wet lands. Lewis explained that the Board Members had gone out to view the areas in question and found no problems. Patti Pusey explained that the Pusey’s would still own the land in between the parcel that they want to subdivide and the Marchegiani property, the Marchegiani’s would not be affected. Fox made a motion to accept the William Pusey & Patricia Pusey variance for 250 feet of road frontage for a subdivision affecting the West & East sides of the road. Stone seconded the motion, which passed 3-0 with Bill Pusey abstaining.

 The hearing adjourned at 7:06 PM.
