ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

OCTOBER 12, 2021

CALL TO ORDER:

Chairman Turner Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM. Other board members present were Bill Pusey, Kaitlin Stone, & Tommy Fox. Thomas Tefft was not in attendance. Tina Blais was also present.

CHANGES AND/OR ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:

None

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:

Pusey made a motion to accept the minutes from July 7, 2021 as written. Fox seconded the motion. Motion passed 4-0.

NEW BUSINESS:

Lewis explained that he was not able to access the application for the Municipal Planning Grant, and when he did further research into how the town would benefit from the grant he realized that it would not work for our town. His hope was that we would be able to have an expert from the state come in and review our Zoning regulations with the Zoning Board to see how we compared to the rest of the state and to get suggestions on any changes that may be needed. Lewis did say that if anyone else wanted to look into the grant to see if they could figure out a way to us it to help the town that he would pass on the information he has to aid them.

HEARING OF VISITORS:

Lewis read a letter that was received from Thomas D. Steink of 955 Branch Road in response from a certified letter sent by Lewis as a follow up from a citizen complaint about tents and gray water concerns from camping to close the river.

The meeting adjourned at 7:19 PM.
