ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES
October 10, 2023
Chairman Turner Lewis opened the public meeting to consider the Farnsworth Conditional Use request at 7:07 PM. Other Planning Commissioners present were William Pusey, Kaitlin Stone & Tommy Fox. Thomas Tefft was not in attendance. Tina Blais, & Kyle Farnsworth were also present.
Lewis opened the meeting by reading the Conditional Use warrant into record.
Kyle Farnsworth of 1211 Hatch School Road, Halifax has submitted an application for conditional use of property located at 1218 Hatch School Road in the Town of Halifax. The proposed project describes as follows, Taking a garage that is already on site and turning it into an Auto Repair Garage with parking already on premises.
The Town of Halifax Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on this application on October 10, 2023. There will be a hearing at 7:00 PM at the Halifax Town Office conference room located at 246 Branch Road. A copy of the application and additional information can be obtained at the Halifax Town Office, Halifax, Vermont.
Pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 4464(a)(1)(c), participation in this local proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal.

Lewis then asked if there was any discussion from the visitors in attendance.
Stone asked what Farnsworth if this new business is going to affect his current existing towing company. Discussion ensued with Farnsworth stating that no it would not affect the towing business as they are to completely different business with their own permits. Fox then made a motion to approve the Conditional Use permit for 1218 Hatch School Road. Pusey seconded. Motion passed 4-0.
The hearing adjourned at 7:16 PM.
