Call to Order

This construction closeout meeting opened at 8:45 a.m. on the Old County North #37 bridge construction site. Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Earl Holtz, and Edee Edwards were present, as were Brad Rafus, Lee Eddins (Holden Engineering), and Rob Hester (Latulippe).

The group walked the bridge and observed the construction and perception of finish. The bridge was deemed to have met all specifications. It was noted that the wooden portion of the bridge would need to be treated every three years by the road crew. Also noted was the plastic cap on each vertical wooden guardrail post. The roadway north of the construction will need attention by the road crew to prevent erosion in the future. Hay bales around the construction zone should stay until late fall.
