SELECTBOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
February 4, 2020
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Mitchell Green, and Bradley Rafus were present, as were David Jones and Robbin Gabriel.
Changes and/or Additions to Agenda
None.
Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes
Mitch Green made a motion to approve the 1/21/20 regular meeting minutes as written. Brad Rafus seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0.
Lewis Sumner made a motion to approve the 1/27/20 special meeting minutes as written. Rafus seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0.
New Business
There were no new business items on tonight’s agenda. Sumner reminded those present that the yearly Selectboard/School Board Informational Meeting and Meet the Candidates Night would be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the School gymnasium.

Hearing of Visitors
David Jones said he would be attending tomorrow’s WRC meeting to review the proposed broadband survey; and will share information about that session at a future Selectboard meeting. The Broadband Committee has been working on their Town Meeting day presentation and the Committee’s written report, which will be included in the annual Town Report. Broadband members will be also available to answer questions at the February 24th Informational Meeting.
Sumner said Readsboro has received a letter from the Secretary of State directing them to hold a meeting to vote by Australian ballot on withdrawal from the Unified Union School District. That instruction was received after statutory deadlines for March 3rd town meeting, so Readsboro will be holding a special town meeting, possibly on March 23rd.
Selectboard’s Order to Treasurer for Payment
The Selectboard’s Order to the Treasurer was reviewed and signed.
Correspondence
Correspondence was reviewed and filed. The Board signed three overweight permits. The State sent a new copy of the Town’s Equalization Study with one figure corrected. The change did not affect the CLA and COD numbers the Town received originally.
