Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Mitchell Green, and Bradley Rafus, and Moderator Paul Blais were in the Town Office conference room. Michael Fournier, Cara Cheyette, and Robbin Gabriel were present by teleconference.

Lewis Sumner made a motion to go into executive session to have Brad Rafus update the Board on Highway employees. Mitch Green seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0. The Board entered executive session at 6:01 p.m. They exited at 6:08 p.m. with no decisions made. When open meeting resumed, Brad Rafus advised that a Highway Department employee had sustained an injury that would keep him out of work for up to 12 weeks. The Town must find someone to temporarily fill the position through the winter. Green made a motion to authorize Road Commissioner Brad Rafus to hire someone to fill the temporary Highway Department position. Sumner seconded the motion, which passed, 2-0-1, with Rafus abstaining.

Sumner made a motion to adjourn at 6:10 p.m.  Green seconded the motion, which passed, 3-0.
