Minutes – Special Meeting
April 24, 2012

Call to Order

A special meeting of the Halifax Selectboard was held at the Town Office, called to order at 6:32 pm.  Present were Selectboard members Earl Holtz and Edee Edwards.  Lewis Sumner was absent.  Members of the public present included Joe Tamburrino, Linda Lyon, and Brad Rafus, all part of the EMD review committee.  John LaFlamme arrived for his interview.

Hearing of Visitors

•          None present

Executive Session

Edee Edwards made a motion to enter executive session for the purpose of interviewing John LaFlamme for the Emergency Management Director appointment, and gathering feedback on all candidates. Earl Holtz seconded the motion, which passed 2-0.  Committee members were also present in executive session.

John LaFlamme left executive session at 8:30 pm.

The committee came out of executive session at 9:27 pm, with no decisions being made.

Earl Holtz and Edee Edwards agreed to split up responsibility for checking references of the candidates, using a standard list of questions Holtz had prepared.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:28 pm.
