TOWN OF HALIFAX, VERMONT

SELECTBOARD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES—APPROVED

JANUARY 31, 2023 

CALL TO ORDER:

Sumner called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Selectboard members present were Lewis Sumner, Pete Silverberg, Paul Blais and Patrick McAllister. Others in attendance in person or remotely were Patricia Dow, Sue Kelly and Roza Podlaski.

NEW BUSINESS

The board met for the creation of the Town Meeting warning and articles. 

Sue Kelly, Halifax’s Tree Warden, came to give an update and request an appropriation of $5,000 as a matching fund from a Vermont state grant for the removal of Ash trees in the town’s right of way. She requested that we include her report in the Town Meeting Report this year. 

Board members present signed the Town Meeting warning. 

McAllister motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Silverberg. Passed 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 8:03 pm.
