PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 12, 2023
Chairman Turner Lewis opened the public meeting to consider the Kuhn/Macdonald subdivision request at 7:00 PM. Other Planning Commissioners present were William Pusey, Tommy Fox. Thomas Tefft and Kaitlin Stone were not in attendance. Tina Blais, Kyle Farnsworth, Mike Bruno, Douglas Parkhurst, Edee Edwards, and Michael Boyd were also present.
Lewis read the public hearing notice as follows:
TOWN OF HALIFAX
NOTICE OF HEARING FOR A PROPERTY LINE ADJUSTMENT PERMIT
John J. Kuhn and Julie K. Macdonald, of 125 Mayweed Rd, Fairfield Connecticut, 06824 and 2 Daybreak Lane, Westport, Connecticut, 86880 have submitted an application for a Property Line Adjustment located at 524 Aldrich Road in the Town of Halifax. The proposed project describes as follows, taking the Gravel Pit RD 1.1 AC +/- and merging lands with Michael Boyd’s property at 1590 McMillan RD, Halifax.
The Town of Halifax Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on this application on September 12, 2023. There will be a hearing immediately following the Kuhn/Macdonald Subdivision Hearing at the Halifax Town Office conference room located at 246 Branch Road. A copy of the application and additional information can be obtained at the Halifax Town Office, Halifax, Vermont.
Pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 4464(a)(1)(c), participation in this local proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal.

Lewis then asked if there was any discussion from the visitors in attendance.
Edwards asked what class road Aldrich Road was at the end. Discussion ensued.
Fox then made a motion to approve the Property Line Adjustment at 524 Aldrich Road, merging the “Gravel Pit Road” with the property at 1590 McMillan Road. Pusey seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Surveyed maps were displayed on the table and everyone was invited to come up and look at them.
The hearing adjourned at 7:11 PM.
