PLANNING COMMISSION WORK MEETING MINUTES – DRAFT
April 28, 2026
CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Tom Fox (TF) called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Other board members present were Matt Gancz (MG), Nancy McCrea (NM) and Elijah Summers (ES) <7:04PM>. Bill Pusey (BP) was absent. Jessica Cooney-PCZBA Secretary, Stephan Chait, and Edee Edwards were also in attendance. Attending online was Mary Horne.
CHANGES AND/OR ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:
None
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:
The Board approved the minutes from 03/24/2026 without corrections. (TF made the motion, 2nd by MG – all ayes)
NEW BUSINESS:
Board reviewed the Town Plan with revisions that were made thus far and discussed what sections still need work. TF spoke with Wendy Musiak from Halifax’s Historical Society about perhaps adding a Historical Map along with the other maps in the Town Plan. MG spoke with both Paul Blais and Dennis Annear for more information regarding the Emergency Planning section.
Board will continue during next Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, beginning at 6pm to then be joined by Matt Bachler from the Windham Regional Commission at 7pm. The Town’s Selectboard has also been invited.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
HEARING OF VISITORS:
Stephan Chait offered advice and guidance regarding the Town Plan.
Edee Edwards raised the question of posting work-in-progress of the Town Plan Draft on the Town website for public view and to give a copy to the Deerfield Valley News reporter.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting adjourned at 8:47 PM. (ES made motion to adjourn, 2nd by NM – all ayes)
