Chairman Turner Lewis opened the public meeting to consider the Arthur/Smith subdivision request at 7:02 pm.  Planning Commissioners present were William Pusey, Kaitlin Stone, and Tommy Fox. Jason Ashcroft was not in attendance. Also present were Tina Blais, Paul Blais, Mike Stowe, Davis Stowe, Meghan Arthur and Stephen Smith.

Lewis read the public hearing notice as follows:

Meghan Arthur and Stephen Smith of 102 Thomas Road, Guilford Vermont have submitted an application for a subdivision for property located at 615 Vaughn Road in the town of Halifax. The proposed project describes as follows, to subdivide a 61.5+/- acre lot into two lots. Lot #1, 3+/- acres, 300’ road frontage, Lot #2, 58.5+/- acres, 1140’ of road frontage.

The Town of Halifax Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on February 16, 2021, at 7:00 pm. This hearing will be held by teleconference. The number to call to attend is 1 (623) 600-3745, the conference code is 673780. A copy of the application and additional information can be obtained at the Halifax Town Office located at 127, Branch Road, Halifax Vermont.

Pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 4464(a)(1)(c) and 4471(a), participation in this local proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal.

Lewis then asked if there were any questions or comments from those present. Fox stated that everything looked in order and he saw no issues with the subdivision request. Hearing no other discussion Lewis called for a motion.

Fox made a motion to approve the 2-lot subdivision at 615 Vaughn Road. Pusey seconded the motion, which passed 4-0.

Pusey made a motion to adjourn, Fox seconded it, and motion passed 4-0.

The hearing adjourned at 7:11 PM.
