ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES
November 14, 2023
Chairman Turner Lewis opened the public meeting to consider the Gates Grove Farm subdivision request at 7:02 PM. Other Planning Commissioners present were William Pusey, Kaitlin Stone & Tommy Fox. Thomas Tefft was not in attendance. Linda Swanson, Penfield Chester, Tina Blais, & Kyle Farnsworth were also present.
Lewis read the Hearing notice in to record.
Gates Grove Farm, Halifax has submitted an application for a subdivision of property located at 6036 Jacksonville Stage Road, Amidon Road and Stark Road in the Town of Halifax. The proposed project describes as follows, Taking a 268+/- AC Parcel with 8,664 feet of road frontage and subdividing into 2 lots. Lot #1 being 48 +/- AC with 2,340 +/- sq. ft. of road frontage on Amidon Road and Stark Road combined. Lot #2, 216 +/- AC with 3,950 +/- sq. ft. combined on Jacksonville Stage Road, Amidon Road and Stark Rd.
The Town of Halifax Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on this application on November 14, 2023. There will be a hearing at 7:00 PM at the Halifax Town Office conference room located at 246 Branch Road. A copy of the application and additional information can be obtained at the Halifax Town Office, Halifax, Vermont.
Pursuant to 24 V.S.A. 4464(a)(1)(c), participation in this local proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal.

Lewis then asked if there was any discussion from the visitors in attendance.
Swanson made a correction to the information on the hearing notice stating that Lot #1 will not have any road frontage on Jacksonville Stage RD.
Fox then made a motion to approve the Subdivision permit for 6036 Jacksonville Stage Road. Pusey seconded. Motion passed 4-0.
The hearing adjourned at 7:15 PM.
