SELECTBOARD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES—DRAFT

SEPTEMBER 22, 2021

CALL TO ORDER:

Sumner called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM. Selectboard members physically present were, Lewis Sumner, Peter Silverberg and Cara Cheyette. Tristan Roberts attended by phone. Others in attendance were Mike Fournier (interim Road Supervisor/Road Commissioner), Margaret Hunt and Wade Janovsky.

Note: Sumner indicated that the interviews would be done in open meeting.

INTERVIEWS:

Interview of Margaret Hunt for combined position of Secretary/Admin. The Board tendered an offer to Hunt.

Interview of Wade Janovsky for highway department position that has been open since August. The Board tendered an offer to Janovsky and he accepted. Silverberg impressed upon Janvosky and Fournier the need to get paperwork done in advance to be sure that worker’s compensation was in place the moment he steps on the job Monday.

Roberts left the meeting.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Fournier raised concerns and his proposal for resolving them. Discussion followed. No action taken.

Cheyette moved to adjourn; Silverberg seconded. Motion passed 3-0 at 2:23pm.
