Cael Scholarships
Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Mitchell Green, Bradley Rafus, and School Board Chair Homer (Chum) Sumner met at 7:00 p.m. in the Halifax School library to review applications and award Donald D. Cael scholarships. School Board members Paul Blais and Kim Tefft were unable to attend. Robbin Gabriel was also present.

Five applications were received, and were read by all Board members. Chum Sumner made a motion to award $250 each to James Barcomb, Jr., Maxwell Cohen, Jessica Fox, and Lauren Sumner. Mitch Green seconded the motion, which passed, 4-0. The fifth application could not be considered, as the student was not a Halifax resident.

Other Business

Selectboard members reviewed and signed a Treasurer’s order.

Green asked Gabriel to call for an update on the Katye Bak dog agreement before tomorrow night’s meeting.
