TOWN OF HALIFAX, VERMONT
SELECTBOARD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
April 11, 2022
CALL TO ORDER:
Sumner called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Selectboard members present were, Lewis Sumner, Pete Silverberg, and Edee Edwards, and Cara Cheyette participating remotely. Others in attendance in person or remotely were Roza Podlaski, Kathy McCLean, Patricia Dow, and Bob Teree.
NEW BUSINESS:
Cheyette is working with Sarah Barnett to get final documents from the auditor, Bonnie. Got a missing report from 2021.
Needs management representation letters signed so that she can finalize the audit.
Bonnie agreed to be present at the next regular meeting to make a presentation on the final audit. Will give us time to ask her questions or concerns.
Cheyette prepared packets of the rep letter and the 2020 and 2021 audits, with representation letters for both years.
Sumner Motioned to have Lewis and Peter sign the management representation letters, seconded and passed 4-0.
HEARING OF VISITORS
Bob wanted to know if everything can be published to the website so that everyone can have transparency and come prepared for the next meeting. Peter stated that there is no pressure to digest this all by Tuesday. It will be the first time that everyone can get a look at what the audit found and then come back and discuss in future meetings.
