REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 5, 2013

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 6:09 PM at the town office.  Board members in attendance were Edee Edwards, Earl Holtz, and Lewis Sumner. Others in attendance were Jessica Bruno, and Mark Halverson.

New Business

The Selectboard discussed letters received from the Whitingham Selectboard and Whitingham fire department regarding Whitingham Ambulance Service, Inc. The Halifax Selectboard will attend the Whitingham Selectboard meeting on March 6, 2013 at 7:30pm to discuss WASI. Bruno will call/ e-mail and let them know we will be attending. The special meeting was posted.

Holtz reported that the town office is eligible to receive Fairpoint DSL which requires a 2 year contract. The price is approximately $50 for unlimited long distance and internet at 768 kbps.

Edwards reported that she attended the last school board meeting where the Emergency Operations Center was discussed. She also inquired when the fiber optic cable would be reaching the school, but they reported that it was delayed. She also inquired whether it would be alright with them if they left a bucket of sand outside so that the walkway could be sanded in bad weather. They school board thought it would be ok to leave a bucket of outside.

Selectmen’s Order to Town Treasurer for bill payment

The order for payment of bills was completed and signed.
