SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES- DRAFT
May 24, 2013

Call to Order

The Selectboard met at Deer Park Bridge at 9:00am.  Present were Selectboard members Lewis Sumner, Earl Holtz and Edee Edwards. Also present were Chad Contaldi from Cold River Bridges, LLC, Peter Boemig and Thad Betts from SVE Associates, Leonard Derby, Jessica Bruno, Brad Rafus, Janet Taylor, and Norm Fagan.

Inspection of Deer Park Bridge

The group discussed whether there were any outstanding issues or concerns. The remaining section of guardrail will be installed by Cold River and billed directly to the state. It was noted that the bridge is totally complete and the one-year guarantee starts on the date of final acceptance (after signatures). Rafus noted that in the future when bridges are engineered, he would suggest taper back the curb as the current design will cause some problems when plowing. Betts noted that it was pre-cast that way, but Cold River will take the sharp edge off the corner. It was noted that this bridge is 7ft longer than before, and the road is narrower because of the new abutments.

Holtz made a motion to accept the Deer Park Bridge. Edwards seconded the motion, which passed 3-0-0.

The group then joined in a ribbon cutting ceremony.
