SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
October 20, 2012

This was a gathering of the community at 6:30 p.m. in the Halifax School Multipurpose Room:  Halifax Strong Celebrates One Year After Irene; “Beyond the Blue Plates.” Selectboard members in attendance were Edee Edwards, Earl Holtz, and Lewis Sumner.  Approximately 100 members of the public were in attendance.

The program was as follows:

6:30-7:00 p.m. – Gathering and breaking bread

7:00 p.m. –Welcome – Patty Dow on behalf of the organizing committee, introducing Andy Rice, Emcee

Pledge of Allegiance led by Halifax Elementary School children

7:05 p.m. –Lewis Sumner, Emergency Management Director

7:10 p.m. –Ann Manwaring, State Representative

7:15 p.m. –Maggie Bartenhagen, Halifax Representative to Windham Regional Commission

7:20 p.m.—Chris Campany, Executive Director, Windham Regional Commission

7:25p.m. –Todd Menees, VT Agency of Natural Resources

7:30 p.m. –Jeanette White, State Senator

7:35 p.m. –Edee Edwards, presenting Halifax Good Neighbor Pass-it-on Award

7:40p.m. –Open Floor for Sharing Stories

7:55 p.m. –Slideshow by Halifax Elementary School

8:05 p.m. –Closing songs, Merrillynn Courser

8:15 – ?? p.m. –Please stick around, visit, and enjoy more food!

No motions were made.  The meeting adjourned at approximately 9:30 p.m.
