Emergency Purchase meeting in Support of TS Irene Recovery

Material is required for the continuation of projects on Monday and Tuesday, prior to the next scheduled Selectboard meeting.  Additional, competition from neighboring towns is rapidly depleting regional supply.

In attendance: Joe Tamburrino, Patty Dow, Bradley Rafus, Christina Moore, Everett Wilson, Carrie Perna.

MOTION

Approve purchase of up to 3,000 cubic yards of Rip-Rap 12-18” from Lane Construction for $26.18/cubic yard including delivery.  This purchase approval is based on more than 3 quotes gathered by project procurement officer.  This price from Lane Construction is a combination of best price, best quality and cheapest transporation.

Motion by Edee Edwards, 2nd by Lewis Sumner, Motion carried unanimously.

Approve purchase of up to 3,000 cubic yards of Rip-Rap 4-8” from Lane Construction fo $12.60/cubic yard.  Transportation of this product will be accomplished by the contracted staff augmentation to the Hwy Dept.  This purchase approval is based on more than 3 quotes gathered by project procurement officer.  This price from Lane Construction is a combination of best price, best quality and cheapest transportation.
