GMP Roadwork – 2025 Project Wrap-up Underway
Commencing on April 22, 2026 the GMP team will begin laying down the final 4” of gravel on approximately 20 miles of roadway. The work is being done by GMP contractors, not the Halifax Road Crew. The GMP contractors have two graders staged and plan to operate them in parallel. The sequence of roads to receive gravel and grading will be determined by road conditions which may be impacted by weather. The following roads will be receiving gravel and grading in the coming weeks:
- Jacksonville Stage Road
- Tucker Road
- Deer Park
- McMillan
- Stowe Mountain Road
- Reed Hill
No road closings are anticipated.
