CALL TO ORDER at 9:00 am
APPROVAL OF MINUTES – minutes from special meeting on March 10, 2026, were approved.
CHANGES AND/OR ADDITIONS TO AGENDA – Add information. GR did not hear back from Niles fill contact. Jeff & Bill don’t know of a burial at West Halifax at the site of the unknown soldier, only a stone. We will probe for a buried stone in the area where we need to take out trees. Cliff said it might have been recorded. LS received the flags to put on Veterans’ graves.
NEW BUSINESS
Select Mowers for the Season – Enter executive session (recording stopped). Bids were reviewed and the lowest bidder selected for Bell-Phelps, Stanclift, Taylor-Stacy, West Halifax, Center Halifax (weekly) and Hatch (Hall; 2x per year). Town-paid mowers will take care of Niles, Whitneyville, and Wicks.
OLD BUSINESS
Review of Cemeteries – Workday for Worden – Saturday July 11 with rain date Tuesday July 14. GR will contact VOCA and later do FPF for the event. We are still collecting bids for the trees in West Halifax Cemetery. GR will contact a couple of potential loggers. LS & LC have customers to recontact.
